Welcome to the British Rally Championship’s Swift Sport Cup, the one make series for 1600cc Rally 1 Swifts in the British Isles’ premier rally championship.
After a successful launch by Suzuki in 2008 when the series attracted seven competitors, all of whom were new to the BRC, the Championship took the fledgling series in-house in 2009 after Suzuki Motor Corporation revised its world-wide rallying plans.
2010 sees a continuation of close competition in equal machinery, a prize fund on each event and an as yet undisclosed prize for the overall Champion.
Of course being part of the MSA British Rally Championship, each driver is eligible for selection for the Pirelli Star Driver shootout, the winner of which will take a fully funded drive in the 2011 BRC. In addition, the highest placed Junior Swift Sport Cup driver at the end of the season will take an automatic place in the final.
There is on-event technical support from MSE, TV coverage courtesy of Greenlight Television and Sky Sports, dedicated media coverage and of course this great mini-site to make the series even more attractive.
